ХХII Petersburg International Economic Forum

The official opening date is set for May 24, but the first events already took place on May 23: solemn reception on behalf of the Organizing Committee for the preparation and holding of the SPIEF, as well as a number of discussions on the effectiveness of entrepreneurship in Russia, the digitalization of the economy and relations with Japan.

 

During the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, a presentation of the project of the International Research Institute for Advanced Systems about collective artificial intelligence will be held, as well as the foresight session on the topic “The Economy of Trust is the key driver of integration of Greater Eurasia”. Today, more than ever, mutual trust can become a key driver for the formation of an enabling environment for economic cooperation in the Eurasian space. But how to build cooperation in the economy in such a way that honesty and transparency bring profit and prosperity? How to rightly transform the economic cooperation of countries with different index of human capital development, so that development is mutually beneficial? These and many other questions will be answered by the participants of the event.

 

The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) is a unique event in the world of economics and business. The SPIEF has been held since 1997, and since 2006 it has been held under patronage and with the participation of the President of the Russian Federation V.V. Putin.

 

Over the past twenty years, the Forum has become the world’s leading platform for communication among business representatives and discussing key economic issues facing Russia, emerging markets and the world as a whole. This year about 15 thousand people and official delegations from more than 100 countries take part in the work of the Forum.
